Please note that, although whale watching is only possible between the months of June and November, we do offer this helicopter tour all year round.

Our flight trip starts at the famous Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. With your early morning arrival at the airport we will firstly determine your body weight for the purpose of establishing loading capacity on board. Our pilot will then give you a warm welcome and you will receive all necessary safety instructions for your time on board with us. You will be handed lifejackets and our flight attendants will accompany you to the helicopter, where your pilot will explain our air route to you and how to fasten your seatbelts.

Let the adventure begin! Our final destination is Walker Bay in Hermanus. Once the helicopter is airborne, South Africa’s most famous landmark – Table Mountain - appears in all its glory. We will take a little bend towards Camps Bay, Landudno and Hout Bay and will proceed along the world’s most beautiful coastal road which ends in Noordhoek. Along this route we will be accompanied by Table Mountain’s famous 12 Apostles and will be able to marvel at a coastal scenery of truly unique beauty.

From this point we will be swinging towards False Bay and cross Muizenberg – gathering spot for surfers from all over the world. If we are lucky, we might already be able to spot some gentle giants from a great height. We will proceed towards Overberg until we reach Hermanus’ Walker Bay. Here we will cross the bay and watch out for whales.

We will approach our landing spot where we will park in close proximity to the harbour. Here we will have the opportunity to watch the whales from an elevated rocky shore. Upon special request you can additionally book a whale watching boat tour out at sea. Please note that the rates for whale watching boat tours are not included in our rates.

At the arranged time we will meet with you back at the helicopter to start our return flight. On our way back we will be able to show you more interesting landmarks such as a large part of the wine-growing area "Hemel-en-Aarde” (Afrikaans: Heaven and Earth) followed by a truly magnificent lagoon, home and breeding ground to many sea birds as well as wild horses. As we travel you will notice that the landscape changes and varies greatly until we reach our starting point – Cape Town’s buzzing Waterfront. Right in front of us we will be able to see Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for many years of his life. We will also see Blouberg’s long beaches and South Africa’s largest wine-growing area in the far distance. Once the helicopter has landed, our friendly flight attendants will accompany you back to the airport terminal.
