We will meet you at the airport about 30 to 60 minutes prior to the arranged departure time, where our friendly ground crew will give you a warm welcome. Your body weight will be determined in order for us to establish the accurate load capacity on board. You will then be handed a lifejacket and our flight attendants will accompany you to the helicopter, where you will be assisted with the fastening of your seatbelts and the pilot will brief you on the flight route to Constantia.
Last safety checks will be performed before the motor is eventually started after which the helicopter lifts off vertically, ascending into the sky, from where you will be able to see the Table Mountain Nature Reserve with all its spectacular landmarks and sights. With a sharp bend to the right we will be heading towards Camps Bays and Hout Bay until we reach Cape Town’s magnificent False Bay. Our flight will take you through a valley and along many forested stretches, allowing us to eventually marvel at various esteemed wine estates. The Constantia Wine Valley will be lying right at your feet as we arrive at the historical wine estate Groot Constantia. We will be landing our chopper on a large lawn and you will be able to enjoy an exquisite lunch in the cool shade of old oak trees. Enjoy world acclaimed wine tastings and an interesting visit to a wine museum.
At the end of our visit to the estate and its beautiful grounds we will again be marvelling at Constantia’s breathtakingly gorgeous winelands from great heights as we set course for the "green lung” of Cape Town, where we will see a large hiking area on our way back to Table Mountain. Our flight will proceed over Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and soon we will find ourselves back at the buzzing Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.
Before we land you will be able to see the West Coast and the long beaches of Bloubergstrand in the far distance as well as Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for many years of his life.
Our flight attendants will be welcoming you back at the heliport and accompany you back to the airport terminal.
We are certain that you will thoroughly enjoy our wine tour to South Africa’s oldest wine-growing area, from where even Napoleon obtained his wines to sweeten his imprisonment on St.Helena Island.
